CALL FOR ARTISTS! Showcase Your Artwork in a Central Leeds Exhibition!

Are you a Yorkshire-based or born artist eager to display your work in a vibrant Central Leeds location overlooking the river?

We have teamed up with Canal Connections CIC and The Boat Co North to invite artists to join a unique art exhibition for the opening of ‘The Lock House’, the newly renovated home of Canal Connections at Leeds Dock, providing a beautiful central location for meetings, away days, training and workshops for both corporate and community clients.

Canal Connections is a non-profit organisation, exploring social engagement opportunities along Leeds waterways providing boat trips, waterway vegetation maintenance and a whole range of engaging projects including their weekly men’s and neurodiverse family cruises.

Curated by Left Bank, this exhibition aims to celebrate personal histories with the Aire & Calder and the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.

We are seeking artworks reflecting unique perspectives, memories and reflections associated with these historic waterways.

Entry for this exhibition is FREE and Artists of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Please note, individuals are responsible for transporting their artwork to and from the venue. We are unable to offer framing so any framing will need to be carried out by the artist (artwork does not have to be framed if preferred).  

Artists will be able to sell their artwork and/or prints during the exhibition, these sales will be privately managed between the artist and buyer. Prints can be ordered via our print partner Beam Works CIC, locally-based sustainable high-quality Giclee printing service based in Headingley, Leeds 6. No other prints will be accepted for sale.
