Upcoming events in the neighbourhood!

As Covid restrictions are starting to ease and places are allowed to open their doors to the public again, now is the perfect time for venues and events to get back to business! Many places are already fully booked with people eager to start the summer with a bang.

So, of course, we’re going to give you a list of the upcoming events coming to a town near you!

 

Left Bank Leeds

Comedy Club –21st May from 6pm until 10:30pm, this event will involve comedy acts such as BGT Semi Finalist Mandy Muden, stand-up comedian Kev Precious, Pat Monahan, and MC: Tony Vino. For more info, click this link.

Leeds Poetry Festival – 19th to 25th July, this event is a poetry competition where winners will receive exciting prizes, such as getting their work published in the anthology. The theme is “At Home In Our City” and it is already looking like it’s going to be an amazing event! For more info on this event, go here.

 

Muzikantes Festival

It is happening at the Brudenell Social Club on the 12th June from 1:30pm to 11pm. This is advertised as “A Day of Eastern European Music” and will celebrate art and music from Eastern European cultures. Find out more here.

 

Hyde Park Jazz Festival

The Hyde Park Jazz Festival has a new date and will now be happening on the Saturday 31st July from12pm until Sunday 1st August, and will be held at the Hyde Park BookClub. It will be a weekend of celebrating and enjoying jazz from and around the local area, especially aimed at enthusiasts of the genre! For even more details, click click here.

 

Hyde Park Unity Day

This is an annual event where the local community celebrate being ‘one’ and there are usually several fundraisers in order for activities to take, such as boot and jumble sales. The date and time will be announced closer to the event. Find out more here.

The city also has some amazing events approaching!

For the connoisseurs of alcohol, The Gin& Rum Festival is happening from the 2nd to the 3rd July, along with Leeds Wine Fest from the 2nd until the 4th.
