We’re excited to welcome Breaking Tradition to Left Bank as they get started with their plans for their new Youth Theatre! Expect an afternoon of live performance showcases & workshops delivered by their team of amazing Dancers and Musicians.
This open day is FREE to attend and suitable for all ages so bring the family to watch and join in the fun!
This new Youth Theatre will be an opportunity for this talented collective to share the skills & knowledge they have gained over the last 19 years developing Folk & Hip Hop dance theatre. Breaking Tradition are planning to produce new work created by and featuring the young artists they work with. If you are, or have a young dancer aged 7 – 25 in your family who would be interested in developing dance skills and performing...reach out and come and check out this open day because the team would love to meet you!
This event at Left Bank will be a fun & informal introduction to the work of Breaking Tradition with showcases & workshops delivered by some of the talented company artists.

At this FREE open day, dancers of all abilities are invited to join in, from complete beginners to advanced, come and learn more about Folk & Hip Hop dance fusion.
If you are a dance leader or arts organisations from across the region, you are invited to.....come and meet the team and start building partnerships for future projects.

TRANSPORT LINKS:
BY BUS: Local bus number 19 from Leeds city centre stops within a minute’s walk from the venue in either direction. Buses 49, 50/50A and 56 stop within 10 minutes’ walk of the venue.
BY TRAIN: Leeds Train Station is a 10 minute taxi ride away (20 minutes at peak times). The Harrogate line train between Leeds and Knaresborough stops at Burley Park station, which is a 5 minute walk away.
BY BIKE: Due to garden renovation work they recently had to remove their bike rack but intend to provide secure bike parking in the near future. However, bring your bike in, we will find a place to store it.

PARKING:
There is on street parking in the residential areas surrounding the venue.

*As Left Bank is a Grade II Listed former church building they currently have some limitations with regards to accessibility, however they are working towards improving this.
