Festive Workshop | Handmade Bookmaking with Kat Williams

Join the wonderful Kat Williams and learn how to create your own handmade books, using folding techniques to turn a simple piece of paper into a personalised book for any journaling or scrap book project.

Kat Williams is a Leeds based artist and illustrator, with a love of sustainable paper-based crafts. Check out Kats work via her Instagram here.

Throughout this session Kat will demonstrate for you the art of Japanese stab-binding to create your own book for sketches or notes! You will also cover some basic techniques for simple book binding you can replicate at home. If you are looking to create a book for a certain project, such as a daily sketch, journaling or scrapbooking, Kat will be able to advise on the best type of book for your project and even give you some tips on layout and composition.

All materials for this workshop are included along with festive paper to bring a little bit of Christmas into your creation! If you are looking to start a particular scrapbooking project or have any materials you would like to incorporate into your books you are more than welcome to bring those along!

Our Café Bar will be open for refreshments and light snacks throughout the evening.

All tickets are non-refundable.
