Healthy Holidays | Breakin' with Hello Hip Hop & Exploring with Dora

Healthy Holidays is back at Left Bank for a final time this year for our Christmas Holiday sessions. For this session we are calling all little Hip Hoppers and nature lovers!

Your child will start the day with Phil from Hello Hip Hop. The kids will get moving with some Break Dancing! In this session your child will start learning the different levels that make up the dance we call Breakin’ - from TopRock, Go Downs, Footwork patterns and Freezes. They'll have loads of fun learning the moves and being creative with it. After a morning boogie, it will be time for lunch! Please ensure you confirm any allergies/dietary requirements when you are booking your ticket.

In the afternoon there will be a workshop with Dora! Dora is a creative educator and Forest School Leader. She combines her love of all things creative and the outdoors to share her skills and experience in sessions which include nature, art, storytelling, poetry, and music.

The sessions include woodland crafts, outdoor games and fun challenges - inspiring the children with nature, positive learning experiences and play.

This session is suitable for ages 3-9. Please do not book a ticket for younger children, if you have any babies/toddlers that wish to accompany elder children who are booked on to the session please feel free to bring them along. Please email leah@leftbankleeds.org.uk with any questions.

One ticket will include the following:

  • A place on the Hip Hop workshop with Hello Hip Hop (10am-11:30am)
  • One hot meal (11:30am-12pm)
  • A place on the nature workshop with Dora and all materials (12pm-2pm)

The session is suitable for all the family. Please book one ticket for each child attending the session. Do not book tickets for adults.

**This session is part of our Healthy Holidays programming, which is here to provide free and healthy activities for children during the school holidays. These sessions are funded and free for those children who are in receipt of free school meals. As such the majority of the tickets are available for children on FSM.

Additional free places are also available for children with SEND, or whose parents claim full or part universal credit. Please do not book these free tickets if you are not eligible for the Healthy Holidays program per the categories above.

In order to support everyone in our community and be inclusive of all families, additional tickets with a suggested donation have been provided for those who do not fall within these categories. Please do not book the free tickets if you are not eligible for the Healthy Holidays program per the categories above.**

Parents/careers must stay on site at all times. Parents are welcome to join in with the workshop and help with the craft activities, there will also be plenty of opportunity for a bit of relaxation, feel free to bring along a creative project or book while the kids are entertained. The Café will be open throughout the day, and we also have a Pay as you feel option on our menu if you fancy a spot of lunch!

** We are happy for you to take photographs at our events, however, please be aware that not all parents and carers are comfortable with their children’s images being shared on social media for a variety of reasons. Please be mindful of this when sharing, thank you.
