In conversation, Kai, Jan, Luisa and Jem foundthat their work all came to fruition through a similar lens - an admiration fortheir surrounding people and place, and the way we all move through thoseenvironments.

Sonder (first coined by John Koenig for hisproject, The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows) is a noun that refers to theprofound realisation that every passerby is living a life as vivid, complex andreal as your own. 

Through painting, drawing and textiles, theexhibition reveals glimpses into those vivid lives lived by the artists andthose that they observe.
