Jonny Strangeways and Hans (Mad World) celebrate 25 years of DJing together this March and will be returning to where it all began with their original night Strangeways. In 2001 they started at Think Tank? (then wire), before moving to Bar Phono and The Bassment and then back to Wire. Legendary nights included guest DJS such as The Cribs, Printed Circuit, The Long Blondes, Jeffrey Lewis and Brudenell Bob and included lives sets from The Futureheads, Ricky Spontaine and a memorable Camera Obscura gig which goes down in history as their most shambolic gig EVER!

Having met at School in Durham aged 4 in 1980, they ended up in a house share in Leeds in 2000 and started DJing together in 2001. Hans set up dance night Polaroid which included guest DJs such as Erol Alkan and Optimo, whilst Jonny promoted Sex Dwarf, PartyParty, Hot Potatoes, Imaginary Friends and a host of live gigs.

25 years later they both DJ at Deer Shed Festival and Mad World.

Expect to hear some Strangeways classics, Jonny and Hans will be playing some of their favourite bands from their Indie, Electro, Post Punk, Dance and Grunge hit list!

Everyone is welcome, old regulars or first times, we have the music in common.
